mWSF07 - The 2007 edition
No need to be a wiseacre to argue that computer security often boils down to good protocols. Whatever your goal, just setup a good (distributed) scheme to attain it - that's your protocol - and you're done. Here, "good" means robust against some stated threats. The literature about protocols for security purposes is astronomical, and so is the number of research conferences that dwell upon them. But perhaps the privacy desiderata that security protocols can support are somewhat neglected. This worskhop attempts to lay bare quite a few protocol aspects concerning privacy in a broad sense. What is the technology to ensure privacy in the era of ubiquitous computing? And what do we really mean by privacy nowadays? Can a wise use of digital signatures or of trusted platform modules help out? You'll at least get to grasps with some fair answers to these and related questions by attending this workshop.
