I am Francesco Zito and I received my Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Computer Engineering from the University of Catania, cum laude. Immediately upon graduation, I obtained my license as a professional engineer and worked as a computer engineer for about two years.
Since November 2021, I am a PhD student (XXXVII cycle) in Computer Science at the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science of the University of Catania and a member of the Complex Intelligent Systems Research Group. This is a research group in the same department whose research focuses on the area of optimization in general through the use of metaheuristics and automatic learning methods.
My research interests include Reverse Engineering, Machine Learning, Gene Regulatory Networks, Metaheuristics, Bioinformatics and Optimization (See the latest publications here).
