The ubiquity of the Internet makes security imperative at all levels.
Novel, remote-running applications are constantly being made available,
but cannot be launched under a general assumption that they will only
run in secure contexts, even if the client machine is protected by a
firewall or an anti-virus package. Here comes a growing demand for
security frameworks that allow the production of secure applications
even at price of strict programming paradigms and/or execution
limitations. The workshop is specifically oriented to security
researchers/practitioners and generally to anyone who is interested in
developing secure applications.
