Remarks on primitive series on plane curves
Abstract
In this paper we relate primitive linear series on a smooth plane curve C with the following properties of zero-dimensional subschemes X of the projective plane:
1) Cayley-Bacharach "at degree a"
2) the absence of non assigned base pointson C for the linear system of curves of degree a through X.
This allows us to construct examples of primitive series on C.
